Of Kings & Prophets pilot which recently shot in Cape Town, has been picked up for a full season by ABC.
Written by Adam Cooper & Bill Collage and directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff, it stars Ray Winstone as Saul, Oliver Rix as David and Simone Kessel as Anohim.
In the pilot Joe Vaz plays Amos, the Queen’s (Kessel) aide and tax-collector. It also stars local sensation Alex McGregor as Merav and Brett Williams as Maatiyahu.
The project, from ABC Studios, is described as an epic biblical saga of faith, ambition and betrayal as told through the eyes of a battle-weary king, a powerful and resentful prophet and a resourceful young shepherd on a collision course with destiny.

Joe has started shooting on an exciting new series written and directed by Beer Adriaanse for Kyknet. Die Buurtwag is a poignant comedy following a group of neighbours who form a neighbourhood watch.
Die Buurtwag series is based upon the award-winning short film of the same name. Tightly written and very funny, it is a very exciting project and Joe is extremely thrilled to be a part of it.
